The 21 year old just missed out on a spot in Roy Hodgson’s 2014 World Cup squad after a hugely impressive campaign during which he helped his Andalusian side to a top five finish in La Liga as well as a Europa League crown, making 43 appearances in all competitions.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is seemingly looking for a fresh left-back option with his current first choice Jose Enrique missing most of last term through injury.

Though England youngster John Flanagan stepped into the breach with real verve it appears that Rodgers may elect to use the defender in his primary position at right-back next term.

Moreno could well turn out to be Liverpool’s second signing of the summer with Southampton forward Rickie Lambert expected to be unveiled as a new acquisition on Monday.

Having led Liverpool back to the Champions League set-up Brendan Rodgers can expect a decent level of funding but could opt to sell the likes of Fabio Borini, Iago Aspas, Oussama Assaidi and the aforementioned Enrique to help boost his transfer pot.
