Premier League duo and Napoli want Feyenoord star.

Check in to Spain vs Netherlands

Tottenham Hotspur have contacted Feyenoord regarding a potential summer move for right-back Daryl Janmaat, according to the Daily Mail.

Spurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino apparently wants Janmaat to provide competition for England star Kyle Walker, who is currently out injured with a pelvic problem.

Janmaat, who is valued at £6m by Feyenoord, has attracted the attention of Manchester United and Napoli too. He has just over 12 months left to run on his current contract.

The 24-year-old has been capped 13 times by the Netherlands at senior international level and he will be hoping to add to that tally at the World Cup in Brazil, after being named in Louis van Gaal’s 23-man squad last week.

Like Walker, Janmaat is an attack-minded full-back, who is fast, strong and good at crossing.

He is competent at tackling and is considerably better than Walker when it comes to concentrating and coping with pressure.

Pochettino is also keen to bring a new left-back to White Hart Lane.

Spurs have reportedly made enquiries about Swansea City’s Ben Davies and Chelsea’s Ryan Bertrand.

Danny Rose, Jan Vertonghen and Kyle Naughton shared Tottenham’s left-back responsibilities this season, while Benoit Assou-Ekotto spent the campaign on loan at Queens Park Rangers.
