Real Madrid Plot Stunning Move For Liverpool & England Wonderkid

Reds teenager in Madrid link.Real Madrid could make a surprise move for exciting Liverpool youngster Raheem Sterling this summer, according to Spanish source Fichajes.net.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a superb breakthrough year for the Reds this season, scoring ten goals and contributing five assists as Brendan Rodgers’ side came agonisingly close to winning the Premier League title for the first time in 24 years.

The skillful winger has since gone on to impress for England at this summer’s World Cup, despite two defeats to Italy and Uruguay, and it now seems that his fine displays have caught the eye of Spanish giants Madrid, who are on the lookout for new signings for next season.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have long been linked with a raid on Liverpool for star striker Luis Suarez, but it could now be that a winger becomes a priority for the club as there remain some doubts over the future of Argentine wide-man Angel Di Maria, who has been linked with Arsenal and Manchester City.

English players are not known for moving abroad often, though Real did sign former England striker Michael Owen from the Merseyside giants in the recent past, while David Beckham and Jonathan Woodgate have also represented the club in the last decade.

Liverpool will surely do their best to hold on to Sterling, who looks an outstanding prospect, and the player himself may also feel it is a little early in his career to be making a big move.
