This source claims that the 27 year old Uruguayan is on the verge of signing for Barcelona, with their chief executive Andoni Zubizarreta publicly praising the forward and should a move materialise then Brendan Rodgers wants to sign 23 year old Italian Balotelli.
Arsenal, Tottenham, Napoli and Fiorentina are all keen on the former Man City man, who could be set to leave the San Siro with his agent Mino Raiola hinting at a summer switch by stating;
“Maybe it was a mistake to bring Mario back to Italy.
“For him it is essential to go where he is loved, and at AC Milan some people love him and some do not.”
Liverpool would apparently lead the chase for Balotelli in the event of a Suarez sale, with it taking around £30m of the £80m they’d look to garner from Suarez’s sale.
Though Balotelli has had his ups and down on and off the field of play since moving back to Italy he has nonetheless scored regularly. The young marksman has netted 30 goals in 54 appearances for AC Milan but could be on his way out under new boss Filippo Inzaghi.
