Emirates Stadium boss Arsene Wenger is keen to bring in the duo and given the mass exodus the Saints are currently having to contend with one imagines such a deal may prove productive.
Having seen Mauricio Pochettino take over at Tottenham and then seen team-mates Luke Shaw, Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana all leave the south-coat club one imagines that both Lovren and Schneiderlin are considering their options and may well be tempted by the possibility of a move to north London.
Wenger apparently sees Croatian defender Lovren as a possible replacement for Thomas Vermaelen, with Arsenal’s seldom used captain set for a Man United switch.
Schneiderlin is presumably seen as a player who can replace Mikel Arteta in the holding midfield role, with the Spanish veteran failing to impress last term.
Now that both players have exited from the World Cup Wenger can make his interest known and Southampton may struggle to keep hold of the duo and could elect to cash-in on their services as new boss Ronald Koeman would then be given as much time as possible to bring in effective replacements for the two first team regulars.
