It’s arguably Chelsea’s first major test of the 2014/15 season as they take on Everton at Goodison Park in the Premier League.

So far Jose Mourinho’s men have enjoyed relatively comfortable victories over newly promoted sides Burnley and Leicester City, but the Toffees will be a much tougher prospect.

Two of their former players could face the Blues as well with Samuel Eto’o and Romelu Lukaku having been signed by Roberto Martinez this summer.

Here is how CaughtOffside thinks the West Londoners will lineup on Merseyside.

GK – Thibaut Courtois

It could be some time until Petr Cech gets a place between the sticks for the West Londoners with Courtois looking solid so far since returning from a three-year loan spell with Atletico Madrid.

RB – Branislav Ivanovic

There were doubts over whether this Serbia international would get a place in the starting XI after the signing of Filipe Luis, but the 30-year-old has been brilliant at right-back so far this term.

CB – Gary Cahill

After being named in the 2013/14 PFA Team of the Year the England international has simply continued where he left off and Cahill looks like one of the finest central defenders in the division currently.

CB – John Terry

Alongside the 28-year-old is his fellow countryman and captain, who unlike Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard was offered a new deal by the club this summer and seems to continue defying his age.

LB – Cesar Azpilicueta

New signing Filipe is going to have to wait a little longer for his debut following a £15.8m switch from Atleti as once again Azpilicueta looks to be a fine inclusion at left-back.
