In fact it is far from it as Mourinho lashes out at his great rival once more, claiming the Spaniard does not even like football.

The proof that the 51-year-old gives for this claim is that Guardiola is bald and therefore cannot be happy in his current career.

“If one enjoys what he does, one does not lose his hair. He’s got a bald head. Guardiola does not enjoy football,” Mourinho was quoted by German daily Bild.

Going on what the Portuguese coach has said and done in the past these comments were almost certainly said with his tongue firmly in his cheek, but there is no denying his animosity towards Guardiola regardless.

The two developed their feud when they were on either side of El Clasico managing Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.

For two years Mourinho and Guardiola were direct rivals and during that time lifted one Spanish title each and had several on and off field spats.

Despite their individual success there are few similarities between the two men, with the Blues boss outspoken and antagonistic, with the ability to play ugly – which has seen him win silverware wherever he has managed.

Guardiola is more quietly spoken, choosing to think over his ideas and problems in private, but with the same sort of ruthless streak that is needed to succeed, although without ever tampering with the aesthetics of the game.
