The French under-21 international admitted there was a sense of fear when he first signed for Chelsea, speaking to FootExpress about his feelings on the matter.

The youngster talks about the excitement he felt during his move to the Blues, but also said that he didn’t know what to expect and was aware that it was a big step at such a young age.

“I arrived with some trepidation at first. “How is this going to happen?” It was all new to me. Above all there was a lot of excitement. I was eager to discover this universe, what happened in this club. Everything has gone very fast for me. We have a quality group, we have a big team. I’m happy. All the players are nice, they were very receptive to me,” said the Chelsea new boy.

He seems to be settling in well, and is clearly enjoying his time at his new club. With a number of quality defenders still ahead of him he is unlikely to be a regular starter any time soon; he does however have all the attributes required to be a world class defender, and Chelsea have definitely got one for the future in Kurt Zouma.
