The final four matches of the Copa Sudamericana Round of 16 will take place this week, with Boca’s continued participation in jeopardy.

There are only four second leg games remaining in the Copa Sudamericana last 16. Sao Paulo (Brazil), Cesar Vallejo (Peru), Emelec (Ecuador) and Atletico Nacional (Colombia) have already booked their place in the quarters, but who else will join them?

Of the four games this week, River Plate look the most certain of progressing. They lead 3-1 against Paraguayan side Libertad after the first leg, and will be confident of getting the job done in front of their own fans.

River’s Argentine rivals Boca Juniors could become the victims of an upset though. They trail 1-0 to Paraguayan side Deportivo Capiata after the first leg in Buenos Aires thanks to a first half own goal from Lisandro Magallan. They are sure to face a hostile atmosphere in the return leg and could easily see their campaign come to a premature end.

The week’s fixtures in full are:

Penarol (URU) (1) vs (2) Estudiantes (ARG)
Lanus (ARG) (1) vs (2) Cerro Porteno (PAR)
Boca Juniors (ARG) (0) vs (1) Deportivo Capiata (PAR)
River Plate (ARG) (3) vs (1) Libertad (PAR)
