White Hart Lane side chase West Brom striking sensation.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has made West Brom starlet Saido Berahino his number one transfer target according to The Sun.
Pochettino is right to look to bring in a fresh striking option as his side have managed just 11 goals in nine Premier League fixtures of which only two have come from recognised strikers Emmanuel Adebayor, Roberto Soldado, Harry Kane and Erik Lamela.
The Argentine manager will look to deal with this problem area in January though a move for Baggies star Berahino won’t come cheap with West Brom demanding as much as £25m for the England Under 21 international.
Berahino has already racked up seven Premier League goals but that is still a fairly inflated valuation and one imagines that chairman Daniel Levy would demand Pochettino sell one of two of their current crop of forwards before providing such funds.
Southampton are said to be ready to offer £10m for Kane and one has to wonder just how much longer the club will give Soldado to justify the £26m invested in his services.
