Wenger has been heavily slammed in the last seven days following Arsenal’s poor performances against Anderlecht and Swansea, with the club shipping goals for fun.

And now after being lambasted by former player Paul Merson, the former Arsenal forward, who was the most outspoken of manager Wenger’s critics last week, branding the club “clueless” it seems his own staff are beginning to turn against him.

Steve Bould, Arsenal’s assistant manager, is thought to be one of those, with Bould’s suggestions on improving the defence openly being ignored.

However, it is not known to what extent the criticism reaches, but the next step will be to hold a meeting with his tried and trusted in order to plan their moves in the January transfer market and go from there.
