The Portuguese maverick told his weekly press conference that despite numerous reports, and the fact that Cech is clearly unhappy at playing second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois, no clubs have made an approach for the Czech stopper.
Mourinho also reckons that Cech has not approached him regarding his unhappiness, although quotes attributed to the 32-year-old previously indicate that he’d be keen to move on if his playing situation doesn’t change.
“I think they know me well enough at Chelsea to know that the situation is definitely not the way I would imagine,” Cech said in October.
“With the European Championships in 2016 and the national team in mind, there is no time for me to sit on the bench and not to play.”
This term, Cech has yet to play a Premier League match, and with the form of young Belgian Courtois, this doesn’t look likely to change any time soon.
