The Serbian powerhouse has every faith that the Brazilian born Spaniard will be a huge success at Stamford Bridge, but insists that he needs to get a better grasp of the English language before he truly begins to shine.

“He’s a very nice and funny guy. He likes to make jokes and I think when he improves his English he’ll have even more influence in the squad,” he said.

Costa grabbed his 12th goal of the season during the Blues’ 2-0 win over Premier League side Hull City on Saturday, and has been fantastic since his £32m summer move from Atletico Madrid.

The West London club have been missing a powerful striker since the departure of Didier Drogba the first time around, and Costa looks like the perfect player to fill that void.

The 26-year-old has already become a dominant force in the Premier League, so Chelsea fans will be delighted to hear that there is plenty more to come from the Spanish international.
