Liverpool have entered the race to sign Real Madrid wing-back Fabio Coentrao according to the Daily Star.

The talented 26 year old has seemingly lost the race for a starting spot in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting eleven to Marcelo and the £25m signing could well be considering his options with Arsenal and Man United also said to be keen on the Portuguese international.

Though AC Milan and Besiktas are also known to be interest this source claims a move to the Premier League would tempt Coentrao.

Coentrao has started just one La Liga fixture this season and is too good a player to be left warming the bench, even of arguably the best team on world football at this present time.

Brendan Rodgers can currently call upon either Alberto Moreno or Luis Enrique to fill the left-back berth though arguably Coentrao can offer a great in an attacking sense he is also a very solid performer when on the back foot.
