The French international is one of the most highly rated young players in the world at the moment after some superb displays in Serie A down the years, ever since leaving United earlier in his career after a lack of opportunities.

The Red Devils are now believed to be one of the clubs interested in signing him again, but Juventus are desperate not to lose one of their best players and will hope to play hardball over any potential deal.

Real Madrid have recently been linked with a stunning £77m bid for the 21-year-old, but Juve may be about to make it even harder for clubs to sign him, though it is not specified how much his new release clause would be.

Despite the Italian club’s best efforts, it is hard to imagine Pogba will not be joining a truly elite European side in the near future.
