The Chelsea skipper believes that his current teammates must win trophies before they can be considered alongside the best.

Chelsea captain John Terry has said that, whilst the performances of his current Chelsea teammates this season have been superb, they must translate their form into silverware at the end of the season if they are to be considered amongst manager Jose Mourinho’s best teams, report the Daily Star.

The Blues took apart a usually impressive Swansea City side 5-0 at the Liberty Stadium this weekend in perhaps their most complete performance of the season, casting aside any doubts that had arisen from their relatively patchy recent away form.

Having played in one of Mourinho’s most successful teams, however, Terry has warned his teammates that they must continued their performances and turned momentum into titles if they are to be considered on the same footing:

“But until we go and win things, it’s not there yet. That will be the test.”

“We have shown in the first half of the season that we are capable of pushing the top sides and that is what we aim to do.”

“Our motivation in the dressing room is to win the league, push on in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night, the Champions League and the FA Cup.”
