The Colombian has been edging towards a transfer to the Stamford Bridge outfit for the last couple of weeks. Now it would seem that a £26.8 million is finally close to being completed. Apparently he will fly to London on Saturday to finalise the deal.

The World Cup star has thanked the Viola’s fans and and said that he is looking forward to a ‘new journey’.

“Florence will always be in my heart. The people are extraordinary. The fans full of passion. The Viola launched my career and gave me the opportunity to grow also thanks to a great club and exceptional teammates,” he posted to social media.

He added, “Now a new journey awaits me. New emotions. New objective. But always with Florence in my heart. Thank you to everyone! Juan.”

The signing of the 26-year-old could be bad news for Willian, with the Brazilian likely to make way in the Blues’ starting line up for the potential new signing.

Cuadrado prefers to play in the Brazilian’s position on the right wing.
