West Ham United have launched a late attempt to land Spurs striker Emmanuel Adebayor after the Togolese forward was told that he was free to leave the club on loan, according to Darren Lewis from the Mirror.

Adebayor is surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane with the form of Harry Kane keeping the former Man City man out of the side, personal issues were not helping his chances either.

According to the reports, Adebayor has rejected a move to a number of clubs including Crystal Palace, West Ham are hoping to tempt a forward who has become an enigmatic figure in recent years.
