Lyon fell behind through Brazilian midfielder Carlos Eduardo’s superb overhead kick but responded from the spot when Nabil Fekir was brought down in the box and Maxime Gonalons netted the penalty.

Despite being a man up after Lloyd Palun’s dismissal, OL failed find a second goal and threw it away late on when Bakary Kone brought down Alassane Plea en route to goal, allowing Valentin Eysseric to secure the three points with a well-taken penalty.

As reported by Olympique Lyon’s official Twitter account after the match, the Cameroon forward has expressed disappointment with his own showing but vowed that he and his teammates will work hard to ensure they return to winning ways after the international break.

“Personally, I’m very disappointed with my performance,” N’Jie began, “we must get back to work.”
