He may be a flop with his current club, Manchester United, but Radamel Falcao has had no difficulty continuing his impressive form for his country. A goal against Kuwait earlier today made him Colombia’s joint all-time leading goalscorer alongside Arnaldo Iguaran.

The 29-year-old converted from the penalty spot fifteen minutes from time to give the World Cup quarter-finalists a 3-1 win in Abu Dhabi, after he bagged a brace in a 6-0 victory against Bahrain last week.

The three goals took him level with Arnoldo Iguaran, but the former Atletico Madrid forward has crucially reached the landmark in quicker time, and should surpass the total at some point. Iguaran set the benchmark after 68 caps, while Falcao has needed thirteen less appearances.

The accomplishment is bound to provide some respite for the forward in what has been a tough first season in England. Since his loan move from Monaco in the summer, Falcao has hit the net just four times in nineteen Premier League appearances.
