Wojciech Szczesny has double reasons to be cheerful on Saturday as he celebrates his 25th birthday and a recall to the side for Arsenal’s FA Cup semi-final against Championship outfit Reading at Wembley.

It has not been the best of seasons for the Polish goalkeeper after he was dropped following the league game against Southampton on New Years Day and has since replaced by Colombian international David Ospina between the sticks.

In the aftermath of the 2-0 defeat at St Mary’s there was reports of him smoking in the shower, however he has since apologised for his actions.

Earlier in the week Gunners manager Arsene Wenger was tight-lipped on Szczesny’s long-term future at the club amid interest in Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech.
