Chelsea are said to be lining up a summer bid to sign promising young Marseille midfielder Giannelli Imbula, though they face competiton from Juventus for his signature.
The 22-year-old has been in exciting form in Ligue 1 since making his first-team breakthrough a couple of seasons ago, and it now looks as though he could attract interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe this summer.
Chelsea are not exactly short of options in midfield at the moment due to the presence of Nemanja Matic, Cesc Fabregas, Ramires and others, but Imbula looks a player well worth investing in for the future.
The Blues have a habit of snapping up young talent and then loaning players out to improve their market value, and it may be that the club would try something like that with Imbula if they do pursue the player.
According to talkSPORT, Juve are also tracking the youngster, and he may feel the move to Italy would be more worthwhile for his career.
