Luis Suarez has been ruled out of newly crowned La Liga champions Barcelona’s final league game of the season against Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday evening as he has not fully recovered from a hamstring injury sustained in the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich.
The Uruguayan international was substituted at half time in the second leg at the Allianz Arena with complaints about a hamstring strain and was forced to sit out the game against Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon last weekend as Barcelona clinched the title thanks to a Lionel Messi goal.
Mail Online reports that Suarez is being rested as a precautionary measure as Barca face Athletic Bilbao in the Copa Del Rey final next week and have the Champions League final meeting with Juventus on June 6, and would rather have striker fresh for those two games with the league already wrapped up.
Suarez has overcome a slow start to his career at the Camp Nou after his summer move from Liverpool and scored his first hat-trick for the club in the 8-0 victory against Cordoba at the start of the month. He along with Messi and Neymar have scored over 100 goals between them this season in a devastating front-three.
