Chelsea are reportedly free to complete the signing of AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao on loan this week after the Colombian’s exit from Copa America.
The 29-year-old is not content to stay with the Ligue 1 club and wants another chance in England, despite a pitiful performance throughout the 2014/15 season on loan with Manchester United.
According to the Metro, a deal could now be imminent for Falcao to become the first summer singing for Jose Mourinho, who believes he can get the misfiring forward back to his best.
The former Atletico Madrid star would likely be a backup to Diego Costa in Chelsea’s squad, but could prove a useful option to have on the bench next season.
