Chelsea are close to completing the signing of Augsburg left-back Baba Rahman according to The Guardian.

The 21-year-old Ghana international has proven a big hit since moving to Germany, first with Greuther Fürth and then with Augburg, helping his current side to secure an impressive fifth place finish in the Bundesliga last term.

The Guardian states that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho sees Baba Rahman as a replacement for Filipe Luis, the Brazilian having returned to Atletico Madrid, with the Premier League side set to bring in the youngster in a £17.5m deal.
