Kevin De Bruyne appears to be on the brink of a move to Manchester City.

The Belgian playmaker is in England, having flown out of Braunschweig Airport in Germany on Saturday morning, and completed his medical at a hospital in Cheshire later in the day.

The transfer was confirmed by Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs on Friday, and it appears a mere formality that De Bruyne’s £52 million move—a fee revealed by the Daily Mail—will be completed before deadline day.

The attacker travelled to England with his partner, Michele Lacroix, and having sat out of Schalke’s impressive 3-0 victory over Wolfsburg on Friday evening, he will surely have been delighted with his soon-to-be teammates’ outing against Watford.
