Al Nassr set to raid Man City for talented midfielder this summer

Man City might be one of the richest and most well-run football clubs on planet football, but not even they are a match for the Saudi Pro League sides in terms of finance.

Clearly, on the football field, the Premier League remains one of, if not the best league in the world.

That remains its major selling point and why players from all parts of the globe seek their future in England.

However, cash is often King for the modern day footballer, and that’s a major reason why the Saudi league are able to attract the talents that they have.

Al Nassr want Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne

As each transfer window comes around, their presence looms large because no player is safe from their clutches.

It’s believed that the league have a long-held interest in bringing Man City’s talisman, Kevin De Bruyne, to the club, and according to journalist, Rudy Galetti, they will try once again this summer to prise the talented midfielder from Pep Guardiola’s side.

The Belgian will be 33 years of age before the start of next season, and though his influence on his current employer has never waned, Guardiola has shown before now and on many occasions that he isn’t frightened to move players on.

Al Nassr are the team that the league would appear to want De Bruyne to move to, which would see him pair up with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane.

If he feels that his future at Man City is in doubt, a move to the Saudi league may appeal.

However, if Guardiola gives further indication that De Bruyne remains a big part of his plans in the immediate future, then there’s not too much likelihood of him jumping ship.

That would leave the Pro League having to look at other avenues to bring one or two big names in.
