Juan Mata disappointed as Manchester United throw away lead against Swansea City

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata expressed his disappointment at the side falling to yet another defeat against Swansea City.

The Red Devils crashed to their third successive 2-1 loss against the Swans on Sunday afternoon thanks to two quick-fire second-half goals from Andre Ayew and Bafetimbi Gomis at the Liberty Stadium.

Mata had put United ahead shortly after the interval as he got on the end of a Luke Shaw cross to net his first of the season and his 50th goal in English football, however, the Spaniard was in no mood to celebrate his landmark strike after the game:

Defeat in Wales is United’s first loss of the season and also ended goalkeeper Sergio Romero’s run of three games without conceding in the Premier League as they missed the chance to go into the international break second in the table behind neighbours Manchester City.

Next for the Mata and his teammates is a huge clash against fierce rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford in September 12.
