Kop favourite aims dig at new boy.

Former Liverpool star Luis Garcia has admitted that new signing Roberto Firmino is struggling to make an impact so far at Anfield after his £29m summer move.

The Brazilian moved to the Premier League as one of Europe’s most highly rated young talents, but things have not worked out for him so far after an unconvincing start from the team as a whole.

Liverpool have only scored two goals in their first four games, and Firmino was ineffective as the Reds lost 3-0 at home to West Ham in their latest result.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Garcia believes it could take the 23-year-old some time to reach top form.

“It’s not easy to come into the Premier League and adapt. I think that he’s a very good player but you have to give him time to adapt to the pace of the game, to the players, the different situations in games.

“He’s a player that wants to do things to change games, like Coutinho does at the moment.”
