Chelsea could let Radamel Falcao join Valencia in January

Chelsea could allow strike flop Radamel Falcao to leave the club in the new year and complete a move to Spanish giants Valencia, according to the Metro.

The Blues may decide to terminate the 29-year-old’s loan deal early as he continues to struggle for form after joining from Monaco over the summer, but that hasn’t stopped Valencia from showing an interest with a report in the Daily Mirror claiming they are ready to pounce for him in January.

After nearly a season and a half in the English top flight, the Colombian international has managed to find the net only five times, having spent the previous campaign on loan with Manchester United.

However, Valencia’s interest in the player is believed to be based on the hope that he will be able to recapture the kind of form he showed the last time he played in Spain, where he collected an impressive 70 goals in two seasons with Atletico Madrid.

Falcao looked to be one of the world’s finest strikers during his time with Atleti, and Valencia will be hoping that he can do the same again for them.
