(Video) Man United 6-1 Leicester: Devonte Redmond & Marcos Rashford score first U21 goals

Leicester City are flying high above Manchester United in the Premier League table, but the Foxes are a million miles behind the Red Devils at Under-21 level.

This was clear to see on Monday night as United secured a thumping 6-1 win over Leicester in the Barclays U21 Premier League.

Teenage midfielder Devonte Redmond (pictured above) was one of the stars of the show, scoring two goals in the rout, including this 15th-minute drive from long range.

The goal in the video above was Redmond’s first for United’s Under-21, but he swiftly netted again in the second half, rounding the goalkeeper on this occasion.

James Weir scored a simple tap-in between Redmond’s strikes, after Nick Powell had opened the scoring on 11 minutes with a powerful header.

Powell, who spend part of last season on loan at Leicester, completed his brace to score United’s fifth with a diving header.

Marcos Rashford, who has been prolific for the U18s, then finished things off with a powerful effort in the dying seconds – his first goal on the U21 scene.

The game was very open from start to finish. United had 15 shots – only four more than Leicester, who were taught a lesson in the art of finishing.
