Stats show Man United are UNBEATEN when Marouane Fellaini is inactive

Correlation doesn’t necessarily equal causation, but the difference in Manchester United‘s performance between when Marouane Fellaini is in the game and when he’s out of the game is rather stunning.

According to stats presented by the Metro, the Red Devils have seven wins, three draws and zero losses when the Belgian midfielder is gracing the sidelines rather than the starting XI. With Fellaini playing in 11 matches this season, the Red Devils have two wins, four draws and all five of their losses. As a result, 24 of Man United’s 34 points have come when Fellaini is on the sidelines

The Metro proposed that at Man United’s rate of 2.4 points on the table per match in Fellaini’s absence, maintaining that trend would currently have them a full eight points ahead of first-place Arsenal on the table.

Morgan Schneiderlin, on the other hand, has been on the team for just one loss this season – a 2-1 defeat to Swansea City back in August. Perhaps keeping the French midfielder on the starting XI and leaving his big-haired teammate on the sidelines would inspire a quick turnaround.
