John Terry offered MEGA BUCKS to play in Qatar or China

Now that John Terry has made it clear he won’t be returning to Stamford Bridge next season, the speculation as to where he’ll head next is going to run rampant. Obviously he could follow some of his former England & Chelsea teammates to MLS with no major culture change, or he could pursue a massive payday in Asia like some of his other teammates. Should he pursue the latter option, a hefty contract awaits him in Qatar or China.

According to the Mirror, former Chelsea superstar Gianfranco Zola is poised to offer his ex-teammate a massive payday to join his Al-Arabi in Qatar, where he now manages. The report states that Zola is confident he can persuade Terry to accept an offer from his Middle East outfit.

However, Terry could also accept a mega deal from China to play there. According to the Telegraph, Terry is poised to earn a £20 million payday if he moves to China, just as his former teammate Ramires did this past January. Ramires is poised to earn £10 million playing for Jiangsu Suning this year.

As mentioned earlier though, MLS remains a popular option with Euro greats Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, Didier Drogba, Kaka and Andrea Pirlo all joining the United States football league in the past year.
