Real Madrid linked with big-money summer move for Manchester City ace

With his future at Manchester City in doubt this summer, Yaya Toure has emerged as a transfer target for Real Madrid at the end of the season.

After the club’s transfer ban was suspended, Zinedine Zidane has already begun the process of building a list of possible targets for the summer as he looks to strengthen what is an already intimidating squad.

Toure has emerged on that list, as the Ivory Coast international has already been snubbed by Pep Guardiola once during their days at Barcelona, and with the Spaniard set to arrive at Manchester City in the summer to replace Manuel Pellegrini, the commanding midfielder could be on the move again.

His agent has already suggested that they are preparing for an exit at the end of the season, and so Madrid will look to take advantage of a possible sale for the 32-year-old who will eye one more big move to end his career with more trophies, as reported by Sport.

Zidane is understood to want to reinforce his central midfield options in particular and add a physical presence alongside the likes of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, and Toure undoubtedly fits the bill as he considers a second stint in Spain.

Given his age and the situation that will develop at the Etihad with City hoping to offload the former Barcelona man, Madrid are confident that the acquisition won’t prove to be too costly and so it is highly likely that Toure will be their first signing of the summer.
