Manchester United will have to spend at least €3o million to sign Inter Milan defender Jeison Murillo.

According to Goal, the Red Devils have tried to make a deal with the Serie A heavyweights for the services of the versatile stopper and Colombia international, but as yet, the two sides have failed to agree.

The source notes that the club’s scouts have flown to Lombardy on various occasions to track the South American defender, and have been impressed by his intoxicating combination of attributes.

Murillo’s pace, physique and in-game intelligence have all impressed United’s officials, and as such, they have made enquiries for the 23-year-old.

According to Goal, Inter are holding out for between €30-35 million for the defender, who has already proved his class in Serie A this season with 27 showings—of which 26 have been starts.

He has averaged 1.9 aerial battles won per match, two successful tackles per match and 2.2 interceptions per match.

It remains to be seen whether United are so impressed with Murillo that they will meet Inter’s hefty asking price.
