Video: FT: Bayern Munich 2-1 Atletico Madrid – Griezmann stunner seals UCL Final trip

“Better Call Saul” is so last week, but “Leave it to Griezmann” may catch on if Atletico Madrid make it through to the next round after the Frenchman got the goal that may very well decide his club’s Champions League fate.

Early in the second half with Atletico trailing Bayern Munich 1-0 and tied 1-1 on aggregate, Antoine Griezmann found his breakaway lane and made quick work of the last line of the Germans’ defence, easily juking Manuel Neuer and finding his spot for a picture-perfect shot to tie the game at Allianz Arena and give them a 2-1 aggregate lead.

Bayern responded in the final 15 minutes with a goal from Robert Lewandowski, but it wasn’t enough as Atletico had the away goal advantage.

Griezmann had been rather quiet for the last few legs of the Champions League, but if all things finish the way they want, Atletico may rely on him when they take on the winner of the Man City/Real Madrid game on Wednesday.
