Liverpool could be set to make an interesting gamble in the transfer window in an effort to land Southampton superstar Sadio Mane.
According to Bleacher Report via the Daily Star, Liverpool are offering midfield starlet Jordon Ibe to Southampton in a package deal for Sadio Mane. Per the source, the Senegal attacker is valued at £30 million by the Saints.
Mane had yet another sensational season for Southampton – scoring 11 goals in 37 BPL appearances and 15 in all competitions. The year before he scored 10 goals in just 30 games for the Saints after making the move from Red Bull Salzburg in September 2014.
Ibe, meanwhile, was widely expected to serve as the heir-apparent to Raheem Sterling before the start of the 2015-16 season, but the coaches felt he was not ready and he only ended up making 12 starts in 27 Premier League appearances. He finished the season with four goals and two assists in all competitions, earning Man of the Match honours three times for performances against Rubin Kazan, Stoke and West Bromwich Albion.
