Arsenal loanee completes 90 minutes for first time in over two years

Arsenal loanee Jack Wilshere is evidently enjoying his spell at Bournemouth so far, as he continues to enjoy plenty of playing time.

The England international completed 90 minutes for the first time since September 2014 in the goalless draw with Tottenham at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday, while it was also the first time that he’s started five consecutive Premier League games since October 2013.

Having completed his loan move to join Eddie Howe’s side ahead of the deadline this past summer, Wilshere has now made seven appearances in the league for the Cherries, as he continues to work towards full fitness and displaying his full range of talents.

Wilshere has struggled with injuries and fierce competition in recent years at Arsenal, and his decision to leave Arsene Wenger’s squad was a major talking point a few months ago.

Whether or not his form for Bournemouth is enough to earn him another shot at Arsenal moving forward remains to be seen, but the key for the 24-year-old right now is keeping his place in Howe’s starting line-up and improving with each week.

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp revealed his belief prior to kick-off that Wilshere’s future is away from Arsenal, as noted by The Daily Mail, but ultimately the midfielder will be desperate to be a success at the Emirates having come through the youth system at the club and tasted it already prior to his temporary exit.
