Tottenham boss and key star reassure fans that no-one will quit “family” for China

There is concern across Europe as a result of the big-spending Chinese Super League clubs, but Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino says there is nothing to worry about for Spurs fans.

From the likes of Oscar and Carlos Tevez becoming the latest high-profile names to move to China, to reports of a big-money move for Chelsea striker Diego Costa, the CSL is growing in appeal and quality.

However, neither Pochettino nor Harry Kane are concerned that it will affect Tottenham, even though speculation has previously linked the England international and teammate Dele Alli with a lucrative move to the Far East, as per The Daily Mail.

The Spurs boss is confident that his tight-knit group are in it for the long haul as they continue to chase Premier League glory for the second season running.

“We are together, every player is happy and part of our Tottenham family, and we have a very good atmosphere around the club,” Pochettino said, as noted by The Guardian.

Tottenham’s 4-0 win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday made it six consecutive wins for Pochettino’s side, and Kane was keen to reiterate his manager’s point as it doesn’t sound as though the north London outfit will be losing any key players any time soon.

“I’d be very surprised if any of our players went out there, especially within the next couple of seasons,” Kane told Sky Sports. “What we’ve got going on here is something very great and I think it would be silly for the players here not to be part of it.”

Now evidently these comments could come back to haunt the pair as there is still every chance that the ridiculous money being offered in China could turn any player’s head as they do what’s best for their future.

Nevertheless, they make valid points as the future certainly looks bright for Tottenham and they will want to move forward with their current group to make it a successful one.
