Man United and Chelsea target does not believe that he is worth £84M release clause

We have some absolutely jaw-dropping news coming out of Italy, prepare yourselves for this one. A man has admitted that he is not worth £84million for kicking a ball around a football pitch. Fancy that.

The man in question is Torino striker Andrea Belotti, who according to The Sun, is attracting interest from both Manchester United and Chelsea.

The tabloid believe that the release clause in Belotti’s contract, and the fee that either Man United or Chelsea will need to part with in order to secure his signature this summer, is just that – £84million.

It’s a lot of money, and even Belotti thinks it’s madness. The Sun quote the Italy international, who when asked if he believes he is worth that sum, reveals his concern at how inflated transfer fees are becoming:

“To be honest, no. But given the way the transfer market has developed, increasingly ridiculous sums are being spent. The cost of players has gone up far too much.”

Would you look at that, what an honest admission from the Torino talisman. Seeing as he’s said it, I also don’t think I’m worth £84million, and you probably aren’t either.
