Mark Hughes has only been in the Man City job for days and he is already pining for Blackburn Rovers’ centre half Christopher Samba.
The Congo star, who was an absolute snip at £400,000, is often used – along with Roque Santa Cruz – to illustrate just what excellent transfer deals Hughes cobbled together whilst at Ewood Park. If the Welshman wants to take him over to Eastlands, it’ll cost him around 10 times what he paid for him originally, and even then it would still be a bargain.
The Sun quotes Samba’s agent Leon Lambert, who apparently said:
“He was Mark Hughes’ discovery, who right now wants him at Manchester City. He could leave for £4million.”
Samba, still only 24, would be a great addition to the Man City squad, especially for £4million which is an absolute steal for one of the best centre halves in the league.
