When Habib Beye was dismissed early into Newcastle‘s match with Manchester City on Monday, you feared the worst for United, who were quickly a goal down and being forced to practically camp in their own half. Joe Kinnear was clearly exciteable after a match where his team so very nearly nicked the three points and moved out of the relegation zone. “We’re unfortunate not to have won against a decent side,” enthused Kinnear. “But the dressing room’s on fire. Everyone’s delighted.”
