Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes sparked a mad dash for his signature this summer when announcing he will not be renewing his contract at the Nou Camp when it expires at the end of next season.
As a result, Barcelona are likely to sell the 31-year-old Spanish international at the end of the current campaign and Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City are all thought to be interested in the man who had been the last line of defender in the all-conquering Barcelona side.
With Pepe Reina potentially leaving Liverpool to return to Spain and ironically Barcelona, a swap deal taking Valdes to Anfield looks on the cards.
