Departing Malaga boss to be handed enormous transfer kitty.
Manchester City will give new manager Manuel Pellegrini a massive £100million to spend on bringing in new players this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Chilean is widely expected to join the Premier League runners-up from La Liga side Malaga this summer as a replacement for the recently-sacked Roberto Mancini.
Mancini was dismissed following his failure to win silverware this season, finishing second to rivals Manchester United in the Premier League and suffering a shock defeat to underdogs Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup final.
Much rebuilding is expected at the club this summer, and Pellegrini will be allowed to spend big to improve City’s current squad.
Big names such as Isco and Edinson Cavani are said to be prime targets, and Pellegrini himself is said to have players in mind, such as Fernandinho, Jesus Navas and Angel Di Maria.
Pellegrini and City have also been given a boost with the news that star striker Sergio Aguero has committed his future to the club by signing a new contract. The likes of Carlos Tevez and Edin Dzeko are looking likely to leave the club, however.
