Manchester City are set to unveil their new manager early next week and have warned him that he must win every trophy available to succeed at the Etihad, according to the Daily Mirror.
Manuel Pellegrini is set to be named as City’s new boss on a 3 year deal and his new employers have laid down strict targets for him to follow.
Former manager Robert Mancini was sacked at the end of the season for failing to deliver any of the targets laid down by the City hierarchy.
Chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak has told Pellegrini that he will have even higher targets than Mancini, and he will be expected to win every competition.
Al-Mubarak declared, “The target now is to win every competition that we play in. That is the target, quite simply”.
“It is a high ambition, but we have the organisation and the squad to get us there”.
Pellegrini, who will take charge of Malaga for the last time tonight, looks set to bring a host Spanish based players with him to the Etihad.
City have been linked with player-maker Isco and winger Jesus Navas.
