Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is said to be keen on starting his summer spending by raiding Serie A side Inter Milan according to Calcio24.

The White Hart Lane manager is keen on bringing in versaile Colombian Fredy Guarin and Uruguayan left-back Alvaro Pereira and may well have a decent chance of landing the pair as the Nerazzurri look to sell players to fund new additions after another very season.

Andrea Stramaccioni was axed by Inter Milan after an embarrassing ninth place finish in Serie A, with Napoli’s Walter Mazzarri taking over, and one would imagine the incoming boss will be looking to make significant changes to his squad and now is probably the right time to shop at the San Siro.

Villas-Boas knows both players well from his time at FC Porto when both players played a prominent role in the Estadio Dragao’s 2010/11 Primeira Liga and Europa League winning season.

Both players are experienced campaigners who could certainly add more strength in depth to Villas-Boas’s squad and would not cost a great deal.

A lot of the focus regarding Tottenham during the transfer window has centered around the future of prized asset Gareth Bale but having seen his North London side fall away during the final weeks of the Premier League season, subsequently failing to secure a top four finish, Villas-Boas will be looking at ways to aid his push to go one better in 2013/14.
