Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry has expressed his sadness at Carlos Tevez’s departure to Juventus yesterday by claiming that the club will miss him, Sky Sports reports.

The 29-year-old put an end to his four year spell at the Etihad on Wednesday by agreeing on a £12 million move to the Italian champions.

And Barry believes that he will continue to shine in Serie A after playing a monumental part in City’s success, even though he is sad to see him leave.

“It will be a massive loss for Manchester City,” the midfielder told Sky Sports News.

“He has had a fantastic few years there and he has been fantastic to play alongside.

“To hear that news is quite sad but he will go and do a great job wherever he goes.”

Tevez secured himself a lucrative deal in Turin and will wear the number 10 shirt for The Old Lady and he even claimed to have rejected the advances of AC Milan in the process.

Despite numerous fallings out with former manager Roberto Mancini his time at City can be considered a success as he bagged 73 goals 138 appearances and picked up Premier League and FA Cup winners medals for his troubles.
