Edinson Cavani – PSG
The French giants have met the reported £55million release clause of the Uruguayan forward, who was also subject to Premier League interest from both Manchester clubs as well as Chelsea this summer. Paris Saint-German have been on the cusps of European contention for the past couple of seasons, following their large expenditure on players, including the likes of Javier Pastore and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Cavani is the calibre of striker required to part Ibrahimovic to take the French side to that next level. The 26-year old is almost the complete forward, with pace, strength and the finishing ability to rival even some of the world’s best. Manager Laurent Blanc feels that “Cavani and Ibra is a beautiful duet” as the players’ playing style suits one another. Should they sign Cavani, they would have the attacking firepower to rival the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona on the European stage.
