West Ham are interested in signing Malmo winger Jiloan Hamad, according to Swedish reports.

The 22-year old Swede is reportedly attracting the interest of West Ham, who are looking for a right-sided player this summer, as well as FC Utrecht of the Eredivisie and an ‘unnamed Russian club’. Fotbolltransfers are reporting that the Dutch club have made an offer for Hamad, and the club are awaiting a response from the Premier League side.

‘I do not really comment now then Jille have important games with the MFF. If there is a business now it goes through Malmo, clubs must first agree with them before we can take a stand’, says Hamad’s adviser, Ferhat Cifci in an interview with Fotbolltransfers. ‘The interest is very large for the player. But there is nothing that we think of right now’, he continues.

The Hammers are very much in the market for a right-sided player to challenge Joe Cole and Ricardo Vaz Te, and manager Sam Allardyce is hoping for a bargain deal as the Malmo player has only a year to run on his current deal. The London club have also revived a bid to sign Salomon Kalou from Lille, and aim to complete at least one more deal this summer, claims Allardyce.

Short on attacking options, Allardyce see’s Kalou or Hamad as a cheaper alternative to some of the bigger names available this summer. The club are also reportedly keen on signing Loic Remy from QPR, as as a deal to sign Colombian striker Duvan Zapata fell through.
