Gareth Bale, Tottenham to Real Madrid
This on-going transfer saga looks set to be completed before the start of the Premier League season, as the clubs enter negotiations and draw closer to reaching an agreement for Bale’s transfer. Daniel Levy is demanding £100million for his prized asset, which Real Madrid would either like to reduce by including a player in the deal, with the likes of Alvaro Morata, Angel Di Maria and Fabio Coentrao all being mentioned as possible make-weights in a deal, or spreading the deal out over a number of years making annual payments to Tottenham. Bale missed Spurs’ latest preseason clash against Monaco, leading to speculation about his future.
